This has happened many times in the past, but this weekend, I am struck by the fact that there are 4 Heartland Owners events going on. 3 rallies and 1 camp-out. Wow - have fun Heartlanders!

Neither are we :( But we're still having fun. We're in the Savannah, GA area. We're staying at Hardeeville Campground in Hardeeville, SC, a few minutes from Savannah. Have been having fun visiting Savannah, Tybee Island, GA and the surrounding area. Heading into Savannah in a bit to have lunch at Mrs. Wilkes. Had dinner at Paula Deen's earlier in the week.

Ugh! Got bit by fire ants yesterday in the center of Fort Pulaski when I was taking the 360 degree video. Ouch! Itchy!

We're enjoying ourselves too! Heading out shortly to take the Texas Star Walking Trail Tour of downtown San Antonio....tomorrow visiting the Spanish Missions. However, we sure are missing our Alamissibamassippi friends this weekend!

Hi Jim, a good remedy for fire ant bites is to soak the affected area in hot water (as hot as you can stand) and Epsom salts. My daughter is allergic to bug bites, fire ants included, and this worked great for her. I have used it also the last time I was bit. Hope this helps...watch out for those pesky ants.

Thanks Valerie. So far, I have never gotten bitten where I had access to hot water and could soak my feet and up about a foot. If I ever get bitten again (likely), hoep I am near the house or RV as I will try your remedy. I read a bunch of home remedies online, some were really bizarre. Yours sounds reasonable :)

Last time, the day after, I opened and drained the pustules, then put some sort of goop and Bandaids on the sites. This time, I am not opening the pustules. Keeping them gooped up. Man do they itch. Benadryl has had a small positive affect.

Ah, food is good! Fire ants, I hate them little buggers. I got nailed pretty bad last year in Charleston. I was doing a similar thing taking photos at a re-enactment. I still have a scar where there were multiple bites in a small area.

Jim, you can soak in the hot water and Epsom salts at anytime after the bites. It seems to help "dry" them up and make them quit itching. Enjoy Savannah! I visited there 25 years ago and am looking forward to returning for another visit.

We are currently at the Las Vegas rally with about ten other rigs.

Met several new Heartland owners

The weather is fantastic.

We all went to another great seafood buffet at South Pointe Casino tonight.

Life is good. Trace

We are missing the 2PZ 2. Steve and Nonna are great folks, fit right in with our bunch. We still have one rig coming this morning; 14 rigs, still room for you.
