Disapointed in Camping World changes?

Is it just me or are others also disappointed in the recent changes at Camping World online site and also buying online from them a lot less? Was getting free basic shipping all summer thanks to a Good Sam membership and now there is expensive shipping unless you purchase at least $ 100 on one order, they changed their policies for purchasers with Good Sam memberships.

What other online alternatives do people recommend? I don't have a camping superstore available in the Kansas City metro area. We have Cabellas and Bass Pro Shop in the metro but they are both on the high end of the price spectrum for their camping stuff in my view.

I pretty much can find anything at Amazon.com. One log on and one company that has my credit card info on file. Many stores can sell through their site, and competition gets the prices lower. I also pay for the super saver club ($79 a year) which gives me free 2 day shipping on many items that can also be upgraded to overnight shipping for $3.99. That saves me a lot. It also comes with access to free netflix like streaming movies online. Works for me and seems to be overall cheaper than most online companies.

I called Camping World's 888 # trying to get in on a 50 percent off close out deal for a roof vent fan (missed it they were out), and asked about the changing in Good Sam free shipping. The said that the free shipping goes away during the "slow" season but should come back again next year. Hope it does.

You'd think they'd offer free shipping during the "slow" season to perk up sales!

Their prices have jumped in the last year also since they combined with Good Sam, even items on sale.

I too have a lot of luck on Amazon.com and I usually spend more than twenty five bucks to get the free shipping. Normally, I look at CW to find what I need and then check EBay and some other RV parts places and more often than not I end up at Amazon.

Internet is awesome. Very rarely will you find it cheaper locally. Though I did find the cheapest price on my B&W Companion hitch at PPL which is local to me. But the first thing I do once I know the part # of said product. Enter it in Google and click the shopping tab. That will usually hit with one fo the cheapest vendors. Amazon is usually one of the cheaper sites.

I just got my Progressive Industries EMS-HW50C on eBay. A seller had 10 new in the box units with remote display with a buy it now price of $330 or make an offer. I offered $299 and he turned it down but took my second offer of $305.

I have has 3 orders recently that campers World lost that I entered online. The odd thing is, Campers World sends me a full invoice, but later when I check on the shipping progress with them, Camper's World tells me they lost the order! So I end up giving them the order direct on the phone and then it does go through.

The other thing is that what they charge exactly for the same order always seems to differ from the online invoice and when I give them the order over the phone.

Amazon.com's Information Technology specialists should have a chat with Camper's World team. I just love so much shopping online with Amazon.com and even doing all the checks to see tracking of my orders. Amazon gets a 10/10 and Camper's World gets a 5/10!

Great tip on Makarios RV - went to their site and found a pretty rare adaptor (50A twist-lock female to 30A blade male) that I've been looking all over for - found one just one place and they wanted $115 for it - and Makarios had it for $65 + shipping. Needless to say, the order's been placed. If their delivery and customer service are OK then they've just gained a new customer.

Thanks for the reference!

I have been using the 30 to 50 female twist 25 ft cable and leave huge cable in storage. Have bought it for around $75.
