Home Refrigerator broke

When we returned home from a month long trip earlier this week we found our home refrigerator blowing hot air. Luckily there was nothing but ice cube (now just warm water) in it as all of the food was in the RV fridge. My younger son's refrigerator had gone out about a month ago and he changed out the relay and got it working. So I figured what the heck, I checked it out, got the start capacitor and run relay replaced them and now it is working better than new again. Guess I learned a lesson from the youngest child. BTW we saved a ton of money by doing it ourselves too.

The same thing happened to me upon returning home from the Western Regional Rally in Canyonville, Oregon - in 100+ degree heat, after my RV refrigerator also quit on the trip home (blowing circuit fuses), and my water pump on the truck blew out about 20 miles from home.
I figured the home refrig was pretty old, and just replaced it ( with 1 at 1/2 price from the Sears Outlet Center).

Why does all of this stuff happen at once???
