Near Beaumont, TX, this morning at 8:45. 100 vehicles. 80 injured. 2 dead.

Not a pretty picture! Looks like that mess would take a long time to clear up. Just hope the survivors weren't hurt too bad, but it doesn't look promising.

On the video in Cookie's link,pause it at about 46 seconds, you get a glimpse of what looks like the Big Country and the truck. While both may be totaled, the truck cab area looks to be in decent shape. Looks like a dark gray Ford crew.

It seems that this was a series of accidents that all happened in heavy fog. The highway was closed in both directions until about noon. Even if you weren't involved in an accident, that would have made a mess of your Thanksgiving.

Makes me thankful to not have been on the road, not being in an accident and not having to write that many reports!

They interviewed several people about the accident and I think one of them was the RV owner. I did not recognize him.
