As I was setting up in N CA, the lower bunk would not lower passed the upper bunk stops in one corner. I discovered 3 of the 4 brackets had popped the welds on the upper portion, and one had bent slightly (the binding one). I had to remove the stop, then the bed would lower.
My lower bunk folds into two opposing benches (like a booth), so there is a lot of moment arm there on those brackets. It looks to me like the spot welds were not hot enough to pop so cleanly. I contacted Happyjack today (after Heartland passed the buck). I'll let you all know how they handle this.
