Voters in Red Bluff, California have killed a proposal that would have forced RV parks to charge users a 10 percent transient occupancy tax. More than 60 percent of voters rejected the tax.

That doesn't surprise me. I have friends in Red Bluff, Redding, and Mt Shasta. They are all conservatives and business minded people. The feds already screwed up one of Red Bluff's biggest revenue making events, when fish and wildlife decided that the diversion dam has to be removed. The dragboat race on Memorial Day weekend brought in millions of dollars for over 30 years.

They (feds) decided it was better to spend mega millions to build a puming system to do what gravity can do for free.
