Front and rear caps

Rear cap near ladder has cracks in it.
They are really oxidizing a lot! I wax twice a year and each time the oxidation seem to be getting worse.

Did they build these with no UV protection or what?

It is a 2010 BH 3585RL.

Waxing causes the paint to oxidize quickly. Waxing is a no no if you want long term protection. Polish first then apply a UV protector/ sealer.

If you get a chance watch some of the 'Junkman's' paint care videos.

Polish first with what, if not wax. What type of UV sealer are you referring to? First I've ever heard of wax causing paint to oxidize so I'm curious as to what you would recommend.

Hi,
Our 2011 Big Country has oxidation problems as well. After researching I found that you need to call the manufacturer they are aware of the bad paint that was used. For certain models they will do a one time repaint.

Wax only last a few weeks outside, it dies and forms a dead layer on top of your paint. Clean all the wax off first, then polish, then apply a sealent. I do use Synthetic wax ( TurtleWax ICE spray) on the RV but my RV is stored inside 10 months a year.
