Screen Door closer springs

Today I decided I was tired of the grandkids leaving the screen door open when they go outside thus letting in bugs and letting the dog and cat out. So I went to CW and bought a set of Camco screen door springs. It took some doing to finally get them installed so they would close the door completely.

Looks great! Looks like you have the Camco screen door bar, as well.

Thanks for sharing!

Nice job! I have the Camco bar to install in the spring-I may do the same with the springs-are they available in just hardware stores? How long are they?

The springs are 7" long. I thought I could hide them on the inside of the frame but they would not completely close the door. I had to to put them on the door frame like the directions said to do then use my dremel tool to grind off the screw because the screen door would hit it.

Now the aggravation will be from the door bottom smacking your backside or catching your achilles tendon as you step into the coach. :( I have the same set up and it makes you be very careful at the top step.
