Tight steps on Trail Runner 26SLE

OK, so the steps have always been very tight. When I folded them up after winterizing it was far more of a chore than it should have been, in fact I am dreading folding them out.

Is there any easy way to make them easier to operate?

Have you tried oil? I do mine a couple times a year.
That's pretty much a maintenance thing.

Hit 'em with a little WD40. Doesn't last as long as oil, or lithium grease but that new smart straw system sure is conveniant!! ED

Moved on to the next thing...
Our Trail Runner has two doors.

The front steps work perfect . . . the back door steps are a chore to open and close.

I usually have to use my leg to fold them back up and always get a bruise.

I've tried oil . . . doesn't seem to work!

One thing for sure . . . you don't have to worry about them dropping out while on the road!
