Dead bolt not working

The dead bolt on our door has suddenly just quit working on our 2012 3690Sl. Has anyone else had this problem? The other lock still works fine.

does it work with the door open? Sometimes they will get out of alignment just enough to hit the frame instead of going into the slot.

It doesn't work with the door open or closed.

Is this a problem with turning the key or is it a problem with a keyless entry?

I would remove the four screws that hold the door handle on. Then pull the whole works put and look out over.
I think I remember a post from the past where there was a screw inside that came loose and was causing problems.
When you get it figured out, let us know what it was.
