Dometic A/C and thermostat issue

We just returned from a 6 week trip to Florida in our 2013 Big Country. A great trip for sure and only had one issue that needs to be addessed:

When using the main A/C when the weather demnads it all is well however, if / when the weather takes a turn and the furnace must be used the problem arises. When the thermostat is set to "Furnace" the main A/C fan starts and eventually the compressor activates. The only resolution I have found is to turn the main A/C off at the breaker panel.

When the A/C is required and the thermostat is set to Cool, the A/C will not start until the breaker is reset, not a difficult thing to do just bothersome.

Has anyone else had this experience and if so what was/is the sloution other than the circuit breaker?

We really like our BC, get comments and questins from many campers in the campground.

Hi ufda,

If you have the Dometic Single Zone LCD Thermostat, you may have the Fan set to High or Low, rather than on Auto. Cycle the thermostat from Heat to Fan mode and use the +/- buttons to change the setting to AUTO.
