Laminated? or rubber? or both??

I read where the roof is laminated. I "heard" that the roof was laminated AND had rubber on it. Which is true?
And, if it's only laminated, is that better than rubber? Our Outback has had rubber and done very well.
This is in reference to a 28BHS, but all Heartland RV's may have the same.

Thanks!

Lamination in this sense, refers to the process in which the roof is constructed. That is to say that the entire roof structure is put together and laminated (glue, pressure, etc.). This gives the roof incredible strength and structural integrity. Then the roof is placed on the trailer in a single piece, then rubber roof goes on.

Heartland does many of their own processes. Wall and roof lamination included. Perhaps in 2009, when the big rally is back in Goshen, we can tour Heartland's lamination plant. For those visiting the Elkhart area, the lamination plant is a block away from the main plant on All-Pro Drive.
