Convection/microwave question..

DW and I have NO experience with convection/microwave ovens. Salesman said you can bake a pizza, then pop popcorn in it.
That sounds wonderful
Is it really that simple? and true!??
We need one of those for our homes if it is. LOL.
Does it brown as well? There are no heating elements..I looked.

It's true! There is a heating element that is not visible from inside the cooking chamber. The heat created by that heating element is then moved around the cooking chamber by use of a fan. So those convection currents of warmed air constantly swarm around your food, baking it very nicely. Yes, the unit will brown food. You can also use a combination of microwave and convection power with a meal. Read the manual well as there are some dos and don'ts with these units.

My Dometic unit in my Landmark was an awesome machine. In 3 years, we used the gas oven once that we can remember.

We don't have a gas oven, just the Convection/microwave. It took a little getting used to, but once we did, it does a great job.
