Army core of Eng volunteers

Has any one been a volunteer at an Army Core of Engineers park? I was reading their internet postings and there are many opportunities available, but how do they work out? Are they as good as they sound, or is it too good to be true?

I have not met a volunteer that did not like what they were doing. I imagine there are a few but none I have seen. I also think JP Morgan volunteers once in a while. He will probably chime in with a reply.

This is not one park but a nation wide system of recreation areas plus more built by the US Army Corps of Engineers. Do a Google search on the USCOE and you will find all kinds of reading, from places to camp to working for the Corp.

Here is one site that list volunteer opportunities at all government parks with all different opportunities. If you want Campground Host, pull that up in the "search other activities" drop down menu. If you want a particular state, just hit the state you want. http://www.volunteer.gov/Gov/resultsZ.cfm?states=&keywords=
Here is the site for the U S Army Corps of Engineers. http://www.orn.usace.army.mil/volunteer/joblistings.html

We have enjoyed our jobs with both the USACE and the US Forest Service.
