Colorado with the MPG -
We are headed to the Aspen area in Sept. We generally travel via Denver but are considering going via Independence Pass. Are there any issues this way? We will take the route our of Colorado Springs.

Independence Pass is 12,095 feet in elevation and is a 6% grade. Should not be a problem, especially for a small trailer. Should be a beautiful drive, just make sure you have good brakes and drive safely.

What are you towing with? We spent last summer in NM, CO and WY with our 181 (towed by a Jeep Liberty diesel). Had no problems on the passes, though did have to downshift to 2nd every now and then.
