Hauling a Kayak on the Back

I have a 2010 Heartland North Country Model 27BHS. I have tried and tried to figure a way tocarry Kayaks on the camper and finally have an idea. The camper has the pull out bumper / bicyclestorage rack. I was thinking I couldpull out the rack and stand the kayaks up vertically on the back of thecamper. Height is not a problem becausethey will be short kayaks and will not stick up any higher than the ACunit. I want to mount 1 or 2 horizontalbars across the back of the camper to strap the kayaks to. In essence it would be like mounting a bike /kayak rack across the back of the camper. Now here is my question. What isthe corner of the camper frame made of? Is it wood or is it metal? Is itstrong enough to mount a rack into with lag screws or anchor bolts? I want to know before I start drilling anddamage the corners only to find out it wont work. Thanks…
