Has anyone ever found out what the power band is on a durmax? What RPM for best torque and horse power. Cant find any from the " General ". Even there "SI" at the dealership wont tell you. Bob

Bob and Patty,

Duramax max torque - 1650 RPM with 650 lbs torque. At that RPM my 06 Duramax 6 speed is cruising at 62 MPH. This will give you the best pulling power and fuel economy.

Forrest, mine is an 05, 605ft# and 335 HP, 5sp trans. Power band is probably about the same. Pulls real good at 1800 and 61 MPH in tow/haul and in OD. Thanks Bob

Uncle Rog, as the owner of a Honda I assure I would not stick it in your "Horns posterior".
