Well...We WERE going to the mountains in New Mexico and Colorado....(see post below)
Now our Son is having back surgery in Knoxville TN.
So.....we now are going to the Smokies instead of the Rockies....
Anyway.....Does anyone have any suggestions/experiences around the Knoxville area?
He lives just off I-140 about 10 miles SW of Knoxville.

I have researched a few RV Parks in the area but,first-hand experience is always best.

Thanks....

Cgunn,

We stay a lot at Volunteer park when we go to UT games. It is about 10 miles north of Knoxville off 75 about 6 miles to 275 which merges into 40. The park is ok. There are a lot of permanent campers there but have never had any issues as everyone is friendly. Not sure of this helps much. If you don't mind a little drive and some traffic there are many places in Seiverville and Piegon forge. We have stayed a lot at River Plantation it is real nice park.

we also like river plantation and have been there multiple times. Just a little hard to find the turn into it. The steep hill going down is fun. they also were putting in a new store etc last fall
