I looking into buying my 1st 5th wheel toy hauler and I'm wondering if anyone here has had any experience with the "Pop Up" brand of RV adapters that you can use to adapt a gooseneck ball to a fifth wheel. I know B&W sells the "Companion" but I really don't want to have to store the Companion when not in use. It looks the adapter from Pop Up stays hooked to the pin box at all times.
Any opinions (+ or _- ) are very welcome. None of this equipment is cheap so I don't want to buy anything twice.
Thanks in advance!

I seem to remember reading somewhere that using a 5th wheel to gooseneck adapter is not recommended and prehaps that it may void the warrenty. Maybe someone else has information.

I kind of thought that there would possibly be some kind of problem using the adapter. It just seems that concentrating all of that weight on 1 little ball seems weak if not unsafe. Maybe Heartland should post something on their website stating their policy on the adapters.
Thanks for the replies.
