Removing the T/P fitting

Hi everyone,
I have a BH 3670 and the T/P fitting continues to leak/drip. I tried several times to put in a new air pocket, but nothing seems to stop it from leaking. So, I bought a replacement and now need to remove the old one. I took off the gas reflector to give me more room, but still could not budge the fitting with a pipe wrench.
Anyone have ideas or something that worked for them?
thanks

Just a note to help those who may need to remove the T/P valve. They actually make a special tool to remove it, however after looking at it, I decided that I could fashion something similar. I removed the gas reflector and used a small pipe wrench that gripped the T/P right near the threads, then added a small extender and it finally loosened.
Hope this helps others.

I think your talking about the electric element on the hot water tank ?? To remove the element/ nut on the end there is a special socket to remove the element and yes you have to use some kind of breaker bar and it still was hard on mine.
