Generator & Pin Weight

This may be asked and answered somewhere in the forum but I cannot find it. For those of you that had the generator prep and the Onan 5.5 LP generator installed, how much did your hitch pin weight increase if any?

I think most people who get the generator prep and Onan 5500 on non-toy haulers order both from the factory because it's pretty difficult to get installed in the field. I think there are a few brave souls who have gone forward, but no telling if they measured pin weight before and after, or if they'll see this thread.

While waiting for them to come forward, let's take an educated guess.

The 5500 is spec'd at 279 pounds. Gen prep is probably a few more - let's guess 300 total. Since the generator is almost as far forward as the pin, I'd guess at least 90% of the weight is on the pin. Call it 270 additional to the pin weight.

The good news is there's no additional fuel weight since it runs off the existing LP tanks.
