3212 Windows

I posted this in "Ask the Factory" last week. Gregd answered and stated I should ask the "Service Department", so here's the thread again. I don't know who the "SD" is or how to contact them.

I picked my 3212 up a couple of weeks ago, Oct 26th. I started noticing today as I was doing some cleaning the slide windows still have a black plastic insert (4" long ) in the screen and window tracks. This plastic piece stops the window from closing all the way, and I can't lock them.

Can I remove these? Why are they installed?

Thanks, Gary:cool:

Big G;

I will forward this to Jim Fenner. He is the Customer Service Manager at Heartland and I'm sure that he will be able to get the information that you are looking for.

the black piece is an anti-rattle insert that is in for shipping etc. you can take them out without hurting anything but hang on to them in case the window rattles or install when in transit.

I appreciate the response. I just couldn't figure out why they were there, because the windows won't close or lock with them installed. Thanks for the help, bg
