Has a rally been held here in the past?
How kid/family friendly is this RV Park?

cookie
12-07-2013, 11:06 AM
The rally has always been held there.
Although it is considered an adult CG there have been kids there. No pool and I am not sure about any playground equipment, like swings.
But, Wisconsin Dells has plenty of kid stuff to do during the daytime and some at night.
The Tommy Bartlett Water Ski show was very entertaining.
Do a search for Wisconsin Dells Attractions.

Peace
Dave

Just thought we'd let everyone know that we won't be attending the potluck on Saturday evening as there is a Boston/Doobie Brothers concert at Ft. McCoy (about an hour away) that evening and we just can't pass it up! It is open to the public so if anyone else is interested in attending I'm adding a link below. Advance tickets are $35, at the door $40. Tickets go on sale June 6th.

Hello everyone! Everything is coming together for us to have another great rally this year. We have added a couple of more things to our itinerary to include the "Great Wisconsin Brat Feed" on Friday night that pretty much is taking care of itself. We will have brats donated by Johnsonville, cowboy beans and potato salad. A dessert would be great if you want to bring one. We have Country Western artist "Maggie Mae" playing for us and I think you will enjoy her music. Donations accepted. Feel free to bring you dancing shoes.
On Thursday we will have a "meet and greet" at 4pm with snacks (bring a snack to pass and BYO drinks). Saturday will include our wine tasting which seems to always be a hit with our group and we are adding cheese and dark chocolates to enhance the flavors. Saturday night we will have our potluck dinner and we will be serving beef so bring a dish to pass as well. We are also providing a "special" flat cake as one of the desserts.
The shooting range again will be offered this year to those members that travel with weapons and want to practice a little or at least inspect and clean the weapon they travel with. There is time to do things on your own and explore and we are getting some discounted tickets again this year for members to use. We are looking forward to a great time and meeting "old and new" friends! Tom Weber is handling the minor RV repair requests so email Tom. Scenic Traveler RV will be there on Friday 9a-1p to do those repairs. Also, Scenic Traveler, who is one of our sponsors, will have a new Heartland trailer for viewing at the campground throughout the rally. And finally a continental breakfast on Sunday to include rolls, muffins, coffee, milk and OJ.
We are less than two weeks away now, see you all soon!

This is our first Rally. Looking forward to meeting folks. I remember as a young kid seeing miles of Airstream trailers all headed to the same parking grid lock at the corner of two country roads. Not sure of the site number but it will be the one with the PUGS. Bagpipes and pugs.... does it get any better than that?????

We brought the Bighorn home from the dealer. No luck trying to sell so I'm trying right now for a site at Country Roads. Fingers crossed...

For the brat fry on Friday night....do you just need desserts or would you like sides as well?

For Friday night's Brat Feed, we are having sides of potato salad, coleslaw, chips and cowboy beans. We will have plates and silverware to use, unless you want to use your own, so desserts would be great or another type of side from the forementioned. We will eat at 5pm and entertainment to start at 6pm. On Saturday we are serving sliced beef for sandwiches or for just straight up eating. Either a dessert or side would be great for Saturday night since it is our "potluck" meal starting at 5pm. If you want your own utensils feel free. BYO drinks both meals. Bottled water available at both meals. Remember we are also having a "meet and greet" on Thursday at 4pm and just a snack to share would suffice and a "continental breakfast" on Sunday at 8am. Seems like all we do is eat!!!
