Water Heater

I Have a Suburban SW12DE water heater in my RV. Yesterday I noticed water dripping under the water heater.
After removing a lot of stuff , I found that a 1/4 or 1/2 in pipe(plastic of course)
that comes out of the hot water connection in the back of the heater had sprung
a leak. After removing the pipe, it seems to have a back flow preventer in it or maybe a regulator?
Any body had any experience with this or know where to find this pipe.
Local RV shop had none and Camping World is an hour away. Suburban manual does not show it, so guessing it is a Heartland part.

I believe the part you are describing is a check valve. Quite a few people have had a problem with the check valve leaking. Do a search for plastic check valve and you should gain some information. Most people replace them with a brass check valve.
