Hello,
We are new campers just bought our Heartland Prowler. Have not taken the camper out yet. We have many question and are glad we found this site.
Our question is will our Chevy Silverado 4.8 with towing package pull our 6000 lbs camper?
Thanks for your help!

Check what your truck is rated for. Both towing and gross combined weight as you need to count for everything in the truck and trailer including people, pets, and other stuff.

Hi oakvalley,

Congratulations on your new rig and welcome to the Heartland Owners Forum.

There are a lot of Prowler models and even the smallest ones currently shown on the Heartland website have a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of 6,900. If you look at the label on your trailer, usually at the front, it'll show the GVWR. That's the number you want to be able to tow.

Also, the towing capacity of your truck will vary depending on model year and other factors.

You might want to visit FifthWheelst.com to consult tow ratings and worksheets to figure out what's safe.

welcome to the Heartland family. Question for you.....which Prowler do you have? I might be able to help if you let me know which one you have.
