Are electric over hydraulic disk brakes being considered as an option (or even standard) on the Landmark?

Fivercamper,

Heartland does not offer hydraulic brakes on any of their models. This is a 3rd party option you may wish to consider. Some dealers and many service centers can get this sort of work done for you.

Fivercamper,

I had hydraulic disc brakes installed when I bought my Landmark in May 2007 and have not regretted it one bit. They have really been a big help, especially in the mountains and on quick stops (as when some jerk cuts you off short and slams on his brakes). They are a bit pricey, but worth the money as far as I'm concerned. Jim seen them being installed on my rig.

Fivercamper, I opted for the 3 3/4 inch brake option and don't feel the need for any more brake. They have served me well, even when I was pulling with a 3/4 ton truck (which was overloaded). Whether in the mountains, city with heavy traffic or dealing with inconsiderate drivers on the highway, I haven't had a problem where I felt I needed more brake. Just my opinion.
