One of the little things that sometimes gets overlooked is the water level in our batteries and it is something that I try to check every six months. This time it was eight months and the "water" level was just at the top of the plates, so no harm done. I know that Jim Beletti discussed an automatic watering system for wet cell batteries several years ago. Because I like to check cables and such, I prefer to physically peer into each cell. So, just a reminder, make it a point to check the water in your battery. Even if you are winterizing and don't remove your battery, (I always did in Minnesota to keep them from freezing) you should check the water level before you put it to bed.
