Brake light stays on.

I am assuming that you have a truck and a trailer. Or do you have a motor home?
What kind of truck and what trailer are you pulling?
If a truck, do the lights stay on, on both the truck and trailer?
Oh, welcome to this great forum.

Your problem is with your truck?? Sounds like you need to adjust the stop lamp switch at the brake pedal assembly. BTW, what truck and trailer or????

Had this happen years ago on a car I had. Weak return spring on the break pedal. Only time I had a real problem was when I was parked headed down hill. A lift up on the pedal with my toe usually worked but a pain when I forgot. Battery rain down real fast.

My brake light switch under the brake pedal in the truck went bad. The brake lights were staying on intermittently.
As I recall it was a $10 part, but a pain to get to.
After the switch was replaced, it solved the problem of the brake lights staying on.

If your brake lights stay on while you are towing a trailer, you are probably dragging your trailer brakes. Trace
