Thought I'd let you propsepctive owners, or current owners, know that the water heater plug in my 28BHS takes a 22MM socket. I was told it was a 7/8" but in fact the 22 is the only thing that would fit. It's a pretty durn big socket.
Also, has a lonnnng rod on the end. My buddy says that is to collect calcium in the water. I dunno? But anyway, there you go!

It should be a 1 1/16 inch SAE socket. The long rod is the anode rod that Suburban uses in their water heaters. You are correct is will have to be replace at sometime. I have read annually or at 70 - 75 % deterioration.

K, all he had that big was the metric. But it is way bigger than the 7/8 inch that I was told. As for the rod, I didn't know it would be on there, was funny pulling it out. Our other campers didn't have that rod on the plug. It was unexpected, like pulling out something I wasn't supposed to be pulling out.
