I take my electric smoker with us almost every time we go camping. I tried this a couple years ago and it's absolutely delicious. It always ends up completely gone with no left overs. Pretty simple if you have a smoker. Here it is...
2 packages of Kraft Homestyle Mac & Cheese
Prepare as directed on package
Place prepared mac & cheese in shallow disposable aluminum 9x13 pan
Place in smoker for approximately 2 hours at 200 - 225 degrees
After 2 hours, add 8oz package of shredded cheese on top.
Return to smoker for an additional 15 to 20 minutes.
Enjoy!
I always try to leave the top rack available when smoking ribs or burgers or whatever so we can add some mac and cheese to our dinner. Give it a shot. I bet you like it!
