How Many Heartlands In No. Ca And So. Oregon?

Just curious if there would be any interest in forming a chapter or to try to get together? The only place we see the Heartlands are on the dealers lots, although I did see a Big Country at Bordertown RV park in NV.

:) Nope, Idaho isn't too far. Might be some fast traveling if we planned some shorter outings though??? LOL
Seriously, though, there are some great places in Oregon to hold mini-rallies and thought it might be fun. Far fewer Heartlands out west it seems.

I sent for some maps & info from Idaho tourism and now I'm depressed. Looks like we need at least a month to see everything. Might have to wait until retirement (only two years) or maybe I can talk Ray into taking off more than a week at a time.

As you all know, we're trying to add another BH to Southern Oregon. Still tetering between the 70's. Hope to decide soon!!!

We're here! I haven't been checking in much since we had to put the 5th wheel away for the winter, but we're still around.

We have a large number of Heartlands on the roads here in Utah. I seem to see one every other day on I-15 Interstate or around the Salt Lake City area. From Sundance, Cyclones to BH. I know we have at least 4 different dealerships in the State selling various Heartland lines.
Seems to me there may be enough folks in Utah, Southern Idaho, Wyoming and Colorado to form a Chapter or become part of the Oregon group.

I am definitelty interested in a group for the Northwest. I see quite a few Heartlands out here in Wyoming.

Great to see so much response so quick! We are in far northern CA, Shasta Lake area and we usually go to Oregon as the border is 90 minutes away. I do like Nevada as well and we have seen some great spots in Utah (although we were traveling by car.)
I would be willing to do the initial organization for a chapter as it seems we have the interest. Lets see how many more we get over the weekend. It's so nice to know we aren't alone out west! LOL

Just a bit of information to all you folks. Forrest and I are talking to Jim about a Socal Chapter. Our mini rally was rained out this weekend. We want to try for sometime in the middle of January. Keep watching for posts, maybe for the people not too far north we can put something together for a weekend or so. Pat and are going to a freebe in west Palm Springs (Cherry Valley) on the 18th of January. Bob :D :D

Great! Sounds like fun. We're kind of limited for travel here to long weekends and a couple week long trips a year for now. About 18 months til he can retire. We would be interested in anything in mid-California and have been eyeballing a couple parks in the Coloma/ Plymouth area.

If anyones really close, or interested, there is a group of us going to Woodson Bridge in Corning for the week of New Years then over to the casino at Corning for New Years eve. Woodson Bridge Rv park is a little seedy looking when you drive in (nooo, make that scary) but the folks are really nice and the RV part is in the back, right on the Sacramento river. Very basic amenities and old facilities in case anyone doesn't care for that. We're as a group, not very picky. We have a pretty diverse group going, from a 24' pull trailer to a new 40' Mandalay coach and range in age from 40's to 70's.
We had the MH last year, so not sure how we're going to fit our new behemoth in there. The trees were a little low in a couple of spaces.

Sound like fun! Never been to one.

We have ordered a Cyclone 4012 and expect delivery around the first of April 08, and we can't wait! Our family travels the I-5 from Southern CA to Grants Pass, Oregon about 5 times a year. I have a somewhat flexable work schedule, so timing (after April) is no problem for us. So, if this Chapter can be organized...let's do it!

Rock On...

early April would suit us as we leave Palm Springs April 1 heading for home by April 4

If your are looking for a park? The 49'er at Plymoth does host rallys. We have been there with other groups of about 20. They have everything needed.
Please post any dates and locations. for a get together. We hope to be in the central valley soon, for a while, and into Oregon

You betcha

We live near you about 8 miles west of Redding and would love to see a Northwest chapter started. Since we are close if we can be of assistance let us now. We will be heading south ( apache junction ) in Jan. returning early April. Are you aware that we now have a Heartland dealer locally?

New Heartland Dealer in N.Ca.

Dan Gamel in Anderson, Ca. has recently become a Heartland dealer. We ordered our new BH 3400RL through them and will take delivery next week, did the PDI Wed. After they install a couple items that were not available through the factory we will do the walkthrough and take our first cruise.

This is an excellent park, not to mention some great winerys close by! We live up in Truckee and would like to make an event. Obviously the snow/ I-80 pass are our only problems. I would be up for anything in a 300 mile radius which I believe covers southern Oregon, nor Cal and Nevada.

I am so happy to have the great response to this post. Husband laughed at me and said" It's just like the online street rod group!". ( we had a chat room on aol (before blogs) and we did all meet at car shows, so I suppose he's right.) I know we're all excited about camping and certainly about our RV's. Those are just two things we all have in common without ever meeting face to face so it gives us a good start to developing new friendships. It will be fun to see if we look anything like we all picture each other.

I am grateful for the offers of help and will take each of you up on them as I have a habit of biting off more than I can chew, but am getting a little wiser now. I will check our camping calendar over the next few weeks with our friends that we currently go with and will try to put something together for February or March. I really would like to do the 49'er RV park at Plymouth as it seems they would have everything we need. There is also another nice one near there at Columbia. Spring and Fall up here at Lake Shasta is great too, but just a few commercial parks and they're near the lake, but not on it. Maybe for Fall bass fishing?
While I have organized a three day community event, parades and car shows, I have never done a campout on this scale, so will need any and all advice and tips anyone can provide. For instance, how do you all handle meals for this type of event? I assume a potluck at least one night, but beyond that ??? Any other advice? Any other location suggestions?
