Florida in mid March

We are thinking about heading to central Florida in March to check out some spring baseball. Any suggestions on campgrounds in that area would be appreciated, we may be to late for reservations but it is worth a try.

We're working at Whispering Palms in Sebastian FL for the season. Should have short term spots available in March. You can catch the Dodgers in Vero Beach or the Washington Nationals in Viera, both easy drives from here. Can't remember which team plays in Kissimmee but that's about 1 hr away.

C'mon down

Book early but Disney's Ft. Wilderness is wonderful. St. Anastasia SP in St. Augustine is great, Highland Hammocks SP in Sebring is great. Tamoka SP in Daytona is good, Gamble -Rodgers SP north of Daytona is great if you want to be out on the beach (no trees). Florida Caverns is a neat place on your way down (North of Panama City).

Good Luck

Tiki Village - Lakeland FL

We winter at Tiki Village - two miles away from Joker Marchant stadium where the Tigers play. With the trades they have made lately, you might as well watch the preview of half of October's World Series duel (I hope). Lots of good shopping, restaurants, etc. Campground always seems to have some vacancies and price is reasonable for this area. It is located just off of US 98 which is at I-4, exit 32. Folks are very friendly here and there should be at least two Bighorns there to welcome you.

Here is a link to Tiki's website.

Hope you choose it. Would love to meet up with you.
