DOT Tire codes

Attached is a list of tire manufacturing plants and the identifying DOT code. If you look at your tire sidewall and take the first 2 letters or numbers following the DOT and look on the attached list you can determine where and which plant made your tires. I'm not running TowMax tires on anything but I would be interested in where they were made if someone wants to look it up. I also found it interesting that there appears to be over 200 tire plants in China including ones owned by brand names like Bridgestone and Goodyear. Maybe the problem is not that all tires from China are bad but maybe some tire plants in China make bad tires. Might be worth a look.
