Hair Line Cracks in Rear Fiberglass Cap

Where the mounting brackets for the ladder are screwed into the rear fiberglass cap, I am noticing small hair line cracks about a 1/4 inch long around the mounting bracket. When I climb on the ladder it gives downward about two to three inches. Has anyone else had this problem and how did you resolve it? Thanks - Mike
