Carpeting in Rushmore

Staples in Carpeting in Rushmore

House rules are we take off our shoes to help preserve the carpet and keep it clean. Walking around my DW and I noticed lots of staple heads in the carpet. We suspect these are from the plastic film that was used to protect the carpet while it was on the dealer lot. Or is this how Heartland attaches the carpet to the floor? Should we be 1) removing these staples, 2) tapping them down or 3) pulling them up and then re-stapling?

DW and I also take off our shoes in the coach. We have a big horn and after one year, I am still finding staple that are loose in the carpet.

Based on my prior experience, the very first thing I did was crawl around on the carpet and cautiously feel for staples.
They use plenty of staples, so pulling them put was not a problem.

Peace

We had the same issue with our Sundance. Dw walked around barefoot while crawled and tapped down with a hammer.
