So much for making reservations online with Cane Creek. Just realized my 29 January request online is lost somewhere in cyberspace as I called them just now since I never received a response:eek:. A nice reservation clerk by the name of 'Deb' is now personally handling my reservation because she said, "we have to keep the Heartland group happy". Bad news is that there were only 2 full hook-up sites left, but the good news is that we have got one! We will arrive Thursday, 10/30 and stay for 4 nights, assigned site # 37. Still need to wait for the e-mail confirmation, but like I said, 'Deb' is handling that so I am not (too) worried. Is it November yet??

Eric & Dorothy,

Deb is my main lady at the campground office. They, Deb at the lead, have been great while we have been building our new home. Cane Creek has been our "2nd home" since last June 26th with the exception of several weeks away for Rally's and Christmas vacation. Hoping the new house is complete by April!!

See y'all soon!!

It has been a loooong process with the "above average" NC winter slowing us down. Hopefully we will be in before end of March or early April. It all depends on Mother Nature!

Anyone else need to reserve Lake Tour seats?? Check post #1 to make sure I have you listed.

Hey Lance, just talked with Deb and she said the only site available close to the group is #62 but she isn't sure if we will fit in that site with our length and having 3 slides? Would you mind sometime when you might be in the area to drive by and check that site? If you think you can get your rig in there than I know we will fit. Deb said if nothing else if we can't get in there on the day we arrive they can move us to another site it just won't be close to the group. We think we will not take the boat ride this time.

Who would be interested in having a Heartland "Flea Market" after breakfast Saturday?

Yes - the FABULOUS TN CHAPTER LEADERS are coming to NC. And sure - boat ride if there's enough room.
One question - I can't find out how long site 36 is? The gentleman I talked to wasn't sure about how long any of the sites are. Keep telling how long the camper is but he was clueless. I sure don't wont to get into a tight situation.

OH - Happy Birthday Lance. Hope you had a great day.

We are gonna keep the Meals "simple" this year....I'm not going to submit Eric V to Turkey duty this year
(he outdid himself last year!!!)

I would like to "prep" some volunteers for Sat. breakfast and Sat. dinner.
(let me know who & what services you can provide)

For breakfast, I need a couple volunteers with their fancy grills for scrambled eggs & bacon.
We will be providing eggs, bacon, biscuits and sausage gravy.

Dinner, we need those fancy grills for burgers & dawgs!! (buns & meat provided by HOC)

What does everyone else bring for the meals?

Friday Pot Luck...Heartlanders know the DRILL!!! BE IN COSTUME....it IS Halloween!!!!!!!

Sat AM....yourselves!

Lunch, on your own.

Sat dinner, bring your favorite "sides" for HOC provided burgers & dawgs.

Sunday am, pastries and leftover biscuits & gravy.

Y'all know we WILL NOT Starve!!!!!!

Oh, for those who do not have their fancy cafeteria plates, plastic ware & paper plates will be provided by the HOC

Route tip!! When you get on 485 in Charlotte you will be on the Outer loop. Take the Outer loop all the way to Providence Road, you will turn right and that will bring you into Waxhaw....your navigation should recalibrate and get you to the CG. This keeps you off some narrow but ok roads. Also note that CG is 2nd entrance, 1st is Day side of lake....there is brown Park signage along the route. Now, have I totally confused you!!??👀
