We have a 4100. It's near the floor on the wall next to the door. It does not put out much heat because it's the furthest from the furnace. A small space heater does the trick though.
Yes... the one small duct is inadequate to heat the garage on my TH and using a space heater is a must in the fall and winter. When shopping for a space heater try to find one with a long enough cord to plug into the outlets which are normally high up in a TH garage. That way you can place the heater on the floor and don't need to use an extension cord or set it up on something to reach.
