Big Horn Converter Specifications - Where to Find

We have a new-to-us 2008 Bighorn and want to find out the charging specs on the converter, other than the amperage which is 60. Do any of you folks know offhand, or have a Heartland number to call? Thanx in advance for any help . . .

Hi Jim,

We have several converter manuals on the forum. Here's a link. I'd guess you have a Progressive Dynamics PD9160 unit which is described in the PD9100 series document.

If you want to confirm what you have, you can take down the basement wall to look, or you can call Heartland Customer Service at 877-262-8032 / 574-262-8030. Have your VIN # ready.

I have a 2008 Bighorn, and am pretty sure it is the PD9200 series. I know I didn't have to install a Charge Wizard card, and the Charge Wizard is standard on the PD 9200 series, but is an add on for the PD9100 series. The Charge Wizard gives you automatic 4 stage charging (Boost, Normal, Storage and Equalization). See: http://www.progressivedyn.com/charge_wizard.html

The larger 50A rigs had a PD9260 converter, with Charge Wizard.
