What is this?

My wife's cousin has a new 5th wheel and a 2010 Ford SuperDuty which he bought used but not from the original owner. The "button" in the photo is attached under the steering wheel at the bottom of the dash. Neither of us have any idea what it is or what it controls.

Has anyone seen this item before and if so what is it?

I have not seen that type of button/switch before Have you tried tracing the wires? Are there external lights not standard to the truck? It might control those?

Possibilities - fuel transfer? or air bags? Or braking?

That's exactly where my air bags button is, but there is also a gauge.
