Rally Question

We got a kind invitation to the Washington/Oregon rallies. They sound like fun. Do these rallies take place where there are full hookups? Our camper is not set up for boondocking. We have no generator or gen prep and all of our "camping" (hard to call it that) has been where we had power, water, and sewer. Without significant lifestyle changes or purchases we can't afford, dry camping is not something we plan to face.

I would appreciate some idea of what to expect.

Re: Rally Quetion

Looking at the rally information on the Portal Page it looks like the parks are all full hookups.
The WA park being a 5 star resort.
The chapter leaders do their best to find nice parks.

Yes, both the Oregon and Washington Rallies are set up in resorts/parks with full hookups including 50 amp. The Spokane RV Resort is one of the nicest parks in Washington.

We hope you can make it to the Rally and meet a bunch of like minded people and see what all the fuss is about. I can assure you, you won't regret it.

Hi Rod,

We just reserved for the Washington Rally. We have stayed at Mill Casino (last year) and loved it. We are returning again in August.

Bob, you guys should have a great time at the WA rally. We went last year and it was our first. Great people, great food and good exchange of information. Rod and Kelly were rookies last year (as rally hosts) but did an outstanding job. Our expectations are pretty high this year after they put the bar waaayy up there! We even decided to go to the Oregon rally, stay and extra week through a "jamboree" and then caravan with a bunch of people up to Spokane.

We don't have enough vacation to do that. We really like the Oregon rally location. About an hour's drive away is a reef with the largest population of pinipeds (seals, sea lions, etc.) on the West coast. There is also a little private zoo where you can pet a tiger cub. Lots of cool stuff down there. I know you will love it. We'll see you in Spokane.

Thank you for the kind words Doug and Doris. We plan on having an equally fun time this year!

We are doing the same thing as far as attending the Oregon Rally and Jamboree and then caravanning north to Maryhill State Park and then onward to Spokane! Gonna be a fun month!!!

Thanks for the good words, Rod. We plan to arrive on Friday. I am not sure when we can leave but it is 4 1/2 hours to the CG. We will be departing on Monday morning. We are very excited about attending and look forward to making new friends.
