Hi jwfournier,

Congratulations on your new-to-you Edge and welcome to the Heartland Owners Forum. There's lots of useful information here along with a great bunch of friendly and helpful people.

In addition to the discussion threads and the helpful answers you'll get when you have a question, we have an extensive collection of appliance and subsystem manuals. Here's a link.

We also have a number of owner-written user guides that are full of tips and explanations. Here's a link.

Heartland has a generic manual that covers all trailers in the product line. You can download a copy from the HeartlandRVs.com website. At the top of the page, click on CUSTOMER SERVICE and then OWNERS MANUALS.

And of course, feel free to ask any questions here on the owners forum.

Welcome to the Edge family. Check out the Edge area you will find lots of helpful posts. Here is a couple of things: 1. Look at your window screws. Chances are they are rusting as the OEM were not stainless steel. Take one out and take it to a hardware store and buy same size stainless steel screws and replace them all. 2. Check your battery and add distilled water if any of the cells are low. 3. Water tends to get into the Edge between the wheels and set in the low spaces in the plastic wheel wells and make a musty odor. You can take off the plastic wheel trim on both sides and caulk the joint where the wheel wells meets the sidewall and eliminate this. 4. The window shade/screen frames are likely not tight against the inside side walls. When you have windows open and screens down bugs get in thru the gaps. Close those gaps up with method of your choice. I used caulk but tape is another option. 5. The seam where the front and rear caps meet the rubber membrane roof must be maintained or water will enter and start to damage the Edge. Seal this seam at least once a year with Dicor lap sealant for rubber membrane roofs. Resist the temptation to use regular caulk spend the extra money for the Dicor !
