Area Attractions
FASNY Museum of Firefighting
To really experience 300 years of firefighting history - whether you are a fire buff, family, firefighter or tourist - you’ll want to visit the FASNY Museum of Firefighting in person for an experience you’ll never forget!

Tanglewood
Visit Tanglewood, the Summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra.

Catamount Adventure Park
The Catamount Adventure Park offers family fun for ages 8 and up. This aerial forest adventure is fun, exciting and safe for all participants. The park offers eight different courses for all abilities. The Adventure Park Staff has been thoroughly trained to assist everyone using the Park and is there to help.

Bash Bish Falls
Located in the extreme southwest corner of Massachusetts is Bash Bish Falls, one of Massachusetts’ most dramatic and its highest single-drop waterfall. Cascading water tumbles through a series of gorges and a hemlock-hardwood ravine forest, and then drops about 60 feet into a sparkling pool below. A walk from the New York parking area is mostly up a gradual incline spread out over about 3/4 of a mile. It can be exhausting for those not used to exercise.

Harvest Spirits
Harvest Spirits is a distillery, offering tastings of their Applejack, Vodka and Flavored Brandy. A great way to finish a day of apple picking!

Hudson Chatham Winery
The Hudson Chatham Winery is open for year round wine tasting! This exciting new winery, which specializes in small hand-made batches of wine, is dedicated to the richness of the Hudson River Valley. The winery features hand-crafted wines, cheeses and desserts, and includes vineyard tours and a gazebo with scenic views.

Hillrock Estate Distillery
Only 6 miles from Copake KOA and crowned by a fine 1806 Georgian house built by a successful grain merchant, Revolutionary War Captain and meticulously restored to its original beauty, Hillrock Distillery overlooks their rolling barley fields and the distant Berkshire Mountains.

Chatham Brewing
Chatham Brewing is the brainchild of two beer lovers: Jake and Tom. Beers are brewed weekly, using all natural ingredients. Just hops, barley, malt, yeast and that magic elixir called Chatham water. Stop by for a taste.

Norman Rockwell Museum
The Rockwell Museum presents the world’s largest collection of original Norman Rockwell art, including beloved paintings from The Saturday Evening Post and the Four Freedoms, and the best in the field of American illustration. Experience Rockwell’s art, life and legacy in the artist’s picturesque New England hometown of Stockbridge, Massachusetts nestled in the culturally rich Berkshires.

Olana
Visitors touring the majestic home of Frederic Church will be led on a trip through time, seeing a remarkably preserved home, complete with much of the original furniture. World-class paintings from Church’s personal collection grace the walls of this beautiful mansion.

Martin Van Buren National Historic Site
The centerpiece of this site is Lindenwald, the retirement home of the nation’s eighth President. The original Federal-style home was enlarged in the Italianate style by President Van Buren.

Hancock Shaker Village
The Shakers trace their beginnings to Manchester, England, in 1747. They called themselves The United Society of Believers in Christ’s Second Appearing. They soon became known as Shakers because of the trembling, whirling, and shaking that affected them during their spiritually ecstatic worship services. Misunderstood and persecuted in their native England, the Shakers nonetheless gathered a small group of enthusiastic followers to their new Christian lifestyle and beliefs.

Your killing me. It's only April 2014 and we have half of our vacation days for 2015 used up. Goshen and Copake are on the calendar.

Sounds like a plan - especially for a rainy day. Well worth the visit, even if not a fire buff. The history alone in that building................
Any breweries in the area? Could make it a "too-fer"
