please check my weight method

I weighed my F350 w both axles on the steering axle scale and the 5th wheel on the drive axle scale. took a weighment. Then lowered the landing gear to unload pin weight from the F350 and took a second weight without moving. I should get pin weight by subtracting the numbers from the steering axle scale and the individual truck & 5'er from the 2nd weighment???

Thanks
Phil

Re: please check my weigh method

You need to know the weight of the truck while the trailer is hitched. Example: 10,000 pounds.
Then know the weight of the truck all by itself. Example: 7,000.
Subtract the solo weight of the truck, 7,000 from the total hitched weight, 10,000.
Result is 3,000 pin weight.
Is this what you are doing?

boalpd, yes. Your first steering axle weight is truck + pin. Your second steering axle weight is truck. Truck + pin - truck = pin
