Vacuum system runs constantly.......

Finished vacuuming...pulled out hose from under stair inlet....system kept running....turned off using the circuit breaker....checked & discovered that bag had come loose...replaced with new one.....turn breaker back on (no hose attached)....started running again....????? Suggestions...thanks

On each of the hose inlets there are two contacts inside of the hose inlet connector. When u slide hose in there it makes the connection between those two contacts, which turns on the power. Either the wires to those contacts, on one of your inlets are touching, or you have a bad relay in the vacum unit. Those wires to the contact points are just stripped and wrapped wires, so its very possible they came loose and are touching.

Is the vacuum yellow. If so a blue relay is sticking. No repair unit, the factory will replace it.

One of the first things to go after taking delivery...because they don't work as well and are prone to issues as well as take up too much space in the basement.
Awesome dealership told me about the relay sticking/shorting on the 'older style' yellow ones being an issue so I took it out replacing it with a smaller Miele. That thing will suck anything out of the slide out gaskets and really get the cat hair off all the furniture, no problem.
