We decided to do everything, we have a water softener, charcoal filter and a reverse osmosis filter for drinking water. After a lot of internal debate, I decided why not do it all. We used to buy bottled water, never again. Our drinking water is the best

We did just fine for many years without, but last year purchased the SoftCell water softener with prefilter and post filter with charcoal filter for taste. Wow, love the soft water and no more brown or cloudy water found in some places.

Same thing here, we have a dual filter system which them goes into a "On the Go" Double Sized Water Softener. Where we are currently the water is hard and we were getting white spots on everything. The softener has eliminated that.
