I would like to switch out the pin on the back of our HOC name tags to the magnetic type . . .

Shirt pin name tags are so 1980's . . .

Anywayz . . . has anyone done this?

And wondering where you may have gotten the mag strips for this.

I plan on stopping at Office Max tomorrow to see if they might have a conversion kit for this.

John,

The Too Crazy Ladies sell the magnetic type. I bought one for myself. They are a bit more expensive, but no much more. You may want to check with them on the cost of the steel bar and the magnet and maybe you can purchase it from them to do your own mod. Their number is on the back of your badge.

This may not apply with the newer design, but in the old days when I had a magnetic holder for my ID badge, you had to make sure that you kept the magnet away from magnetic strips on credit cards.

Just a thought.

HOC name badge modification . . . found them!

I stopped at Office Max on the way home from work tonight and they didn't have what I was looking for.

So when I got home I googled 'magnetic name badge holders' and found these (click on photo to enlarge):

These were exactly what I was looking for and I have a set of 10 on the way!

Here is a link: http://www.amazon.com/Magnetic-Badg..._indust_1?ie=UTF8&refRID=0E4HWVBBDSNV97FSTPTQ

By the way . . . first thing ever I've ordered from Amazon.
