Keeping the sliding door open while moving?

The 12' garage in my 2014 CY4000 with patio option is 11' long. The kayak I am considering to replace my 10' kayak is 11'6". One way I can fit the longer yak is to leave the sliding glass door open between the kitchen and garage. When the garage is loaded, my motorcycle is centered in the garage, 2 bicycles are on the right side of the garage, and 2 kayaks are on the left side of the garage.

I don't know the most effective way to keep that door open. I really do not want the door to slam and break the glass. That would be bad.

Any ideas? Or do I just forget about the 11'6" yak?

A dowel rod in the door track may work. You may need something even taller like a 1x3 cut to fit the door track.

I use a spring tension rod on the upper end and a piece of cut 3/4 inch white PVC for the bottom track to force ours to stay open during transit.

A dowel on the bottom track and I would place a small " C-Clamp" about 1/4" further out than the bottom dowel, on the top rail....just in case.
