Carol's Cream Danish

For those of you who were at the breakfast pot-luck at the National Rally, and sampled Carol's Cream Danish, and asked for the recipe, here it is.

CREAM CHEESE DANISH

2 pkg -- Crescent dinner rolls
2 8 oz -- cream cheese - softened
2/3 cup -- sugar
1 tsp -- vanilla
1 -- egg yolk (save the egg white).

Butter a 9x13 dish, cover bottom with 1 pkg of crescent dinner rolls. Press seams together.
Combine cream cheese, sugar, egg yolk and vanilla. Spread on dough.
Cover with remaining pkg of rolls (do not seam)
Mix egg white with 2 tsp water and brush on top of dough

Bake @ 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes

Flavored filling you can use instead of above:

Cinnamon Orange Flavor
2 pkg -- softened cream cheese 2 pkg -- softened cream cheese
1/2 cup -- softened butter 1/2 cup -- softened butter
3/4 cup -- ground cinnamon 1/2 cup -- orange marmalade
1 tsp -- vanilla 1/2 cup -- granulated sugar
1/2 cup -- chopped pecans 3 Tbsp -- grated orange rind

You must mean 3/4 tsp. of cinnamon and not 3/4 cup! That would be way to much .
