Box Springs

I'm wanting to replace our mattress in the Big Horn. The platform for the mattress is only ply board, and I was wondering if a box spring could be installed with rollers so it would slide in and out with the slide. If anyone has attempted this please chime in and let me know the results. Sounds like it mite work, just need some advice. I know I will lose the storage space under the bed but a better bed would be better to us.

I'm thinking box springs with a mattress and your going to need a step ladder to get into it if you use existing structure.

Not sure it would work as there's usually stuff inside the box. On my current TT it's half storage and my previous one had the fresh water tank.

I'm not sure if there is a box spring made in the RV size.
Of you were to go with a residential size mattress and box spring you may have clearance issues.

A box spring now days is nothing but a raised plywood platform. Same as the Rv plywood w/o the cloth over it.
