Torque 321 carry capacity

All,
I'm looking at purchasing a 2015 321. It looks like the carry capacity is around 2430 lbs. Is that correct? I figure water is 880 lbs, gas is 200 lbs, propane is 60 lbs so that only leaves 1290 lbs for toys and cargo. That seems very light since a 4 seat SxS is around 1400lbs. Is that correct?? The 1 I'm looking at also has the 5500 onan gen. I figure that's probably not included in the dry weight.
Thanks

Hi cellman,

Instead of calculating off the base specs on the Heartland website, visit a dealer and look at the yellow sticker inside the door frame. It'll show you the actual weight as the trailer left the factory, as well as the load capacity. The dry weight spec doesn't include ANY options and is often significantly lower than the actual configured trailer weight.

With the Torque models you definitely need to check the sticker. The Heartland website list the Torque GVWR @ 14,000 lbs, a 2013 Torque 321 I bought in Dec 2012 sticker-ed @ 15,000 lbs. A 2014 Torque 325 manu Nov 2013 (similar to the 321) on the Holman RV website has a dry weight of 12,000 lbs with a generator and a GVWR of 16,000 lbs on the sticker . That would add one ton to your figures!!!

The issue loading a four seat side X side will be the length... and I'm sure you've read that if you max out the GVWR you'll need new tires.

Thanks for the help. I had the dealer send me pictures of weight stickers. The 321 I'm looking at has a GVWR of 15,500 and dry weight of 12128 without gen. so that leaves me over 3300 lbs which is more like it.

With no explanation why it appears some trailers use the sum of axle ratings (2 - 7K axles = 14K GVW) and some use a portion of the pin box capacity added in (2 - 7K axles plus a portion of the pin box 2500 rating for 15,500)

Some early Cyclones with 3 axles were rated at 20,500. 3 - 6K axles plus 2500 for the pin.
